La Armada de Chile ha lanzado dos licitaciones, una para cuatro helicópteros de transporte mediano de segunda mano, y otra para un número no especificado de embarcaciones de desembarco, según informaron fuentes militares locales a Jane's.
Los helicópteros, que se espera sean Airbus Helicopters AS332L2 Super Puma Mk II, cumplirían un antiguo requisito de completar seis aeronaves para apoyar operaciones de asalto anfibio, volando desde la plataforma de aterrizaje del Sargento Aldea.
Los cuatro helicópteros se unirán a dos Super Pumas adquiridos en 2012. Según las fuentes, la licitación seleccionará entre ofertas provenientes de firmas privadas internacionales.
La segunda licitación tiene como objetivo comprar varias embarcaciones de desembarco mecanizadas (LCM) y embarcaciones de desembarco utilitarias (LCU), desplazando entre 150 y 350 toneladas.

The Chilean Navy has launched two tenders, one for four second-hand medium transport helicopters and another for an unspecified number of landing craft vessels, local military sources have told Jane’s .
The helicopters, expected to be Eurocopter AS332L2 Super Puma Mk IIs, would fulfil a longstanding requirement for a six-aircraft complement to support amphibious assault operations, flying from the 12,000-ton landing platform dock (LPD) Sargento Aldea (formerly the French Navy ship Foudre ).
The four aircraft will join two Super Pumas acquired in 2012. According to the sources, the tender will select between offers coming from international private firms.
The landing craft tender aims to buy a number of landing craft mechanised (LCMs) and landing craft utility (LCUs), displacing between 150 tons and 350 tons.
